Using Exposure Compensation
This week, exposure composition was one of the main things our class learned how to
control with a camera. Exposure composition is the amount or the lack of light in a photo.
After learning how to use exposure composition we were given a task to take multiple photos
of one thing with different exposure compositions. Out of all the photos chosen, we
had to choose three of them.
The three photos I chose were of these pair of glasses. I chose them because
of the simplicity and that it is easy to determine the difference between the
three. The first photo is under 0 exposure, also known as “perfect” exposure,
the second photo is under -1 exposure, also known as under exposed and the last
one is under +1 exposure, which is also known as over exposed. We learned this
so that we can adjust how photos look like under immense darkness or
brightness. Learning how to use this, we can change an under exposed photo into
a perfect exposed photo and the same with an over exposed photo.
