My Portrait Project Mario C.
Today I took pictures of my subject Alexander M. and decided to chose this one due to how it follows the rules of photography. This photo was taken outside in bright light, thus making it very hard to have a normal exposure. I made my sunject stand behind a concrete wall to keep the background simple. I focused on Alex and simplified the background. a technique I used here is called the tule of thirds.as you can appreciate, my subjects eyes are about in the upper thirds of the portrait. This technique makes the person focus right away on the point of interest which in this case are his eyes. Something I had to keep in mind while taking this picture was that Alex needed to be comfortable while posing and that the sun wasn't creating shadows on his face. after many attempts I managed to captute this photograph with the right amount of lighting and a simplified background.
