Photojournalism Assignment: Nasir S.

For this project, we had too take a photo that tells a story about the particular class we choose to go to. I choose this photo because I think that it easily explains what the gardening class does. Even if you didn’t know this was gardening class, you still could presume that it was or had something to do with gardening. I say that because you can see the background has plants that have already bloomed, and then you see Se’maj digging a hole in the fresh soil, with a small bag in his hand, which obviously means that he is planting more seeds. This photo tells the story of Plants growing and how they started from just a black cover over the box, to planting seeds in the soil, to the end result of the plant growing tall, like the ones in the background.

My experience from taking photos of this class was that they have to pay close attention to every detail of planting the seeds. Reason being is because if they plant the seed to deep or to high, it’s not going to grow. They have to plant it just right with the right moisture of the soil, so that it blooms the correct way. What I took from this class is to pay attention to every detail so you don’t have to do anything over for a second time.
