Portrait: Mario C.

On a sunny day like today, I practice my portrait taking skills. My friend Mario C was kind enough to let me take his portrait photo. He was really patient as I took the photo unlike other people who get irritated.  I was able to see how the direct sunlight could be my enemy and also my friend. There were pictures that did not come out so great. Some were too bright and others had too much shadow on his face.
To help me with the lighting, so that I could get a good photo, I used a reflector under Mario's face. A way to know that I used the reflector is by looking into Mario's eyes and see really closely a white figure. Out of all the photos I like this one the most because the lighting was just right even though Mario was under direct sunlight. With the use of Rule of Thirds, I was able to get an artistic photo like professional photographers. I give Mario's face more detail by focusing the camera on him while defocusing the background.
