Mosaic Subway

Looking at Mosaics helped improved my ability to take pictures because I was able to see how each little piece of glass could make a giant wall of art. Piece by piece, they were able make the Mosaic come alive and create a magnificent "piece" of art. Pixels on a digital camera has somewhat the same characteristics as a Mosaic. Pixels are collected together to help bring out the whole picture giving it a visual texture. Like the Mosaic. each piece of glass can be seen as a pixel because each of those piece of glass gave the Mosaic an image to look at. What the Mosaic helped me out with my photography skills was the lighting. I had to move around myself to find the perfect lighting to get the perfect picture. I found myself laying on the floor because that was one way i could of gotten a memorable picture. In the end, the Mosaic is like a photograph because it combined together to create a masterpiece.

The Mosaic that impressed me the most was the one that had marbles on a chess board. It stood out to me because at a distance I thought it was a painting. As I got closer I notice that it wasn't and that every little piece of glass helped helped the Mosaic have sharp details. It was so sharp that it looked as if you could of grabbed it off the wall. The lighting on the top of the Mosaic made it stand out which ultimately helped me get an awesome photo.

  1. What I liked about this blog was the interesting details about the mosaic. The way you described the piece of art and how it stood out to you was incredible to me. I also like what you did to take the photo to make it a perfect picture.
