Different Types of Exposure Compensation

In this selection I chose to do different types of exposures of nature. You may wonder what exposure compensation is in photography. Well exposure compensation is the amount of light a picture consists of. It is amazing what you can do when you control the amount of light that enters the lens. With this you can make a photo taken in day time seem as if it was taken during night time. I took three images to show the types of exposure.

The pictures I took using my Olympus, demonstrates the rule of thirds and simplifying the background. It also consists of a vertical line made by the tree bark. We can see a huge difference when I bring the exposure up to plus one. It seems as if it was a really bright day outside. When the exposure is minus one, we can see as if I was in a shady place. Changing the exposure makes a huge difference. I really enjoyed using this effect, it makes a huge difference in the contrast of the image.
